The WAC Journal

Subscriptions The WAC Journal has a rich legacy and is the longest-running journal devoted to writing across the curriculum in the field. It is published by Parlor Press, the WAC Clearinghouse, and Clemson University, which is recognized as a national leader in writing and multimedia across the curriculum and digital creativity. The WAC Journal is a “double-anonymous” peer-reviewed journal, published annually. The journal supports a variety of diverse approaches to and discussions of writing across the curriculum. We publish submissions from all WAC scholars that focus on writing across the curriculum, including topics on WAC program strategies, techniques, and applications; emergent technologies and digital literacies across the curriculum; antiracist pedagogies; feminist rhetorics across the curriculum; intersectional contexts of feminism; international WAC initiatives; and writing in the disciplines at the college level. Digital copies of the journal are simultaneously published at The WAC Clearinghouse in PDF format for free download. Print subscriptions support the ongoing publication of the journal and make it possible to offer digital copies as open access. Shipping costs are included in the subscription total. WAC Journal Submissions The WAC Journal invites article submissions. The longest-running national peer-reviewed journal dedicated to writing across the curriculum, WAC Journal seeks scholarly work at the intersection of writing with teaching, curriculum, learning, and research. Our review board welcomes inquiries, proposals, and articles from 3,000 to 6,000 words. We are especially interested in contributions that creatively approach a diverse range of anti-racist pedagogies, feminist rhetorics across the curriculum, intersectional contexts of feminism, and international WAC initiatives. Articles focusing on the ways WAC can be fostered in online courses are welcome as well. The WAC Journal supports a variety of diverse approaches to, and discussions of, writing across the curriculum. We welcome submissions from all WAC scholars that focus on writing across the curriculum, including topics on WAC program strategies, techniques, and applications; emergent technologies and digital literacies across the curriculum; and WID. Articles are accepted throughout the year on a rolling basis. The peer review process is double-blind, which means all identifying information must be removed from the submission. Any submission notes must be included in the field provided for them, not in a separate cover letter or attachment. Submissions that aren't ready for double-blind review will be returned. Submissions are managed via Submittable (https://parlorpress.submittable.com/submit/18762/wac-journal) and then via email.
