Whirlpool Refrigerator Ice Maker Kit Assembly (W11700559) (Replaces WPW10715709)

The Ice Maker Kit-Pkg Assembly installs directly into your refrigerator to produce and harvest ice automatically for everyday use. It connects to your home water supply and uses a built-in mold, heating element, and ejector arm to freeze water, release the cubes, and drop them into the storage bin on a continuous cycle. Important Compatibility Note: Part number W11700559 is the current manufacturer-approved replacement for the following discontinued part number(s): WPW10715709. If your appliance documentation or old part uses any of these numbers, this is the correct, updated component for your repair. Ice maker assemblies can fail from mineral buildup inside the water mold, a worn-out ejector motor, a faulty thermostat that misreads freezing temperatures, or a damaged shut-off arm that stops the cycle prematurely. Water supply issues or a freezer that runs too warm can also stress internal components over time, leading to partial or complete ice production failure. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, your refrigerator ice maker assembly may need to be replaced: - Refrigerator produces little or no ice - Ice maker runs continuously without stopping - Ice cubes are undersized, hollow, or misshapen - Ice maker makes loud clicking or grinding noises during the harvest cycle - Water drips or leaks inside the freezer compartment near the ice maker - Shut-off arm does not move up or down correctly - Ice clumps together in the bin due to incomplete ejection
