Whirlpool Range Cooktop (W10814036)

The Whirlpool Range Cooktop replaces the main surface panel that sits on top of your range and provides the cooking zones where pots and pans are heated. It houses the burner elements or gas burner grates and acts as the primary cooking surface, distributing heat evenly across each zone during use. The Whirlpool Range Cooktop can become damaged from heavy use, spills that seep beneath the surface, cracks from impact, or corrosion from prolonged exposure to heat and moisture. Warping, chipping, or broken burner ports can make the cooktop unsafe or prevent burners from functioning correctly. Look for these symptoms to help determine if your cooktop needs to be replaced: - Visible cracks, chips, or breaks across the cooking surface - One or more burners fail to heat or ignite properly - Uneven or inconsistent heat across cooking zones - Burner flames are weak, irregular, or will not stay lit - Surface is warped, discolored, or badly stained beyond cleaning - Burner ports are clogged or damaged and cannot be cleared - Cooktop no longer sits flush or seals properly on the range body
