Common causes of failure for the upper rack adjuster include wear and tear from regular use, exposure to high temperatures, and the accumulation of mineral deposits. Over time, these factors can lead to the adjuster becoming brittle or breaking, which can hinder the rack's movement and adjustment capabilities. If you are experiencing issues with your dishwasher's upper rack, consider the following symptoms to determine if this part may resolve your problem: The upper rack does not move smoothly or gets stuck. Difficulty in adjusting the height of the upper rack. Visible cracks or damage to the adjuster components. Unusual noises when moving the upper rack.
