VSQ Performs Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey is here to stay. Her 2019 album Norman Fucking Rockwell! was nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammys and topped multiple year-end lists including those by Pitchfork, NPR, Stereogum, The Guardian, and The Washington Post. Her follow-up, Chemtrails over the Country Club shows signs of the same, debuting at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart and receiving widespread critical acclaim. Because Del Rey is no stranger to strings (baroque pop arrangements illuminated Born to Die and a foreboding orchestral hum sits below Lust for Life), VSQ’s take on her kaleidoscopic collage portrait of L.A. is natural. The quartet reinterprets the artist’s trap-pop ballads through the swooning, careening melodies that lie at their heart, giving fans much of the emotive passion that they adore from the balladeer and uninitiated listeners a rich entry point to her world. Release Date: 04/24/2020 VSQ Performs Lana Del Rey has been nominated for the 2021 Best Classical Record Libera Award!
