Titan Post Saddle

Quick and easy installation Strength and stability similar to poured concrete Saddle for ground anchored footings in minutes are a reality. The Deck Foot Anchor gives you strength and security similar to a poured concrete footing without the labor, time and cost. Quickly and easily install ground anchored footings for freestanding decks, pergolas, sheds, ramps and more* - in minutes! The floating Deck Foot Anchor is for use on free-standing structures only. Do not use with ledger attached decks. How does frost affect the anchor? It does not heave up from the ground like a fence post that is pushed out of the ground a little bit each year. The Deck Foot Anchor remains anchored to the ground and moves with the soil surface as it expands up or settles down during freeze or thaw cycles, use only with freestanding decks, unless the soil does not freeze in your area. Floating Deck Foot Anchor is a non-frost footing. See CCRR-0495 report and how it comports with IRC 403.1.4.1 for decks now supported by a dwelling. You can build your deck with joists as low as 2 in. to 3 in. above grade if you wish. Simply hang the joists from the perimeter joist if you want to extend the deck beyond the footing, extend the side perimeter joists 6 in. to 10 in. and fill with blocking joists along the length. Recommended maximum deck height of 6 ft. with proper bracing in both directions. Not intended for second floor elevations decks. Securely anchored: Ready for high winds. The Titan Deck Foot Anchor™ holds your footings securely to the ground. For maximum uplift resistance, consider using the 36 in. auger. Designed for freestanding structures such as decks, sheds, pergolas, and gazebos. Not intended for second floor elevations decks. Fasteners Recommended: (4) 1/4" x 3" hex head lag screws (sold separately) Recommended Uses Designed for footings for decks that are not attached to the ledger of a house. Keep deck ¾" to 1" away from foundation or siding to allow for settling or seasonal vertical movement. Decks can be built as low as 2" from underside of beam to grade and as high as 6' from top of deck surface to grade. Posts should be braced to beams and joists for any deck 18" or higher. Other Prepare site by removing sod and laying down 3" of ½" crushed stone and tamp down to compress. Crushed stone compresses well and is porous so water flows away from plate without eroding loose soil in heavy rain. Do not use for free standing posts such as fence posts. Not designed to provide significant resistance from lateral forces at top of post. Titan Building Products Website Phone Number: 613-224-9477   Installation Instructions Warranty
