Vortex Optics Strike Eagle® 1-8X24 FFP

The Vortex Optics Strike Eagle 1-8x24 FFP Scope is a variable zoom scope for rifles. It has a 30mm tube and is compatible with 30mm rings or mounts. Designed as a multi-purpose scope, the 1X magnification provides quick acquisition of short-range targets while the large 24mm objective diameter gives a large field of view – 14.1 feet at 8X zoom at 100 yards. The lenses are ArmorTek coated to protect them from scratches, oil and dirt. The EBR-8 Reticle is an MOA reticle that includes BDC (Bullet Drop Compensation) hash marks for shooting from point blank range out to 600 yards with .223/5.56mm and .308/7.62mm calibers. The reticle also has a ranging feature at the top that can be used to range a silhouette target.  The center dot and inner circle of the reticle is illuminated to increase visibility. The shooter can adjust the illumination level between two night vision compatible settings and nine daylight illumination settings. This is a First Focal Plane (FFP) scope, meaning that the reticle changes size as the shooter changes the magnification of the scope. This is ideal for precision shooters, since the reticle markings stay accurate and proportional through all magnification levels. The adjustment turrets have tactile clicks that provide the shooter with clear feedback. They provide 25MOA of adjustment per revolution and 1/4MOA of adjustment per click. The elevation and windage adjustments both have 145MOA of range. After zeroing, the adjustment turrets can be reindexed to the “0” mark. This makes it easy to return the scope to the original zero after adjusting for conditions and range. The Fast-Focus eyepiece includes an ocular focus adjustment, allowing the shooter to adjust the clarity of the reticle to match their eyesight. The eyepiece also includes a magnification ring with a throw lever for magnification adjustments.
