Volvo penta 8 pin, diagnostics cable

Jaltest JDC528A - Volvo Penta 8-Pin Diesel Diagnostics Cable The Jaltest JDC528A is a genuine Cojali 8-pin diagnostic cable for Volvo Penta diesel engines. This is the 8-pin variant in the Volvo Penta cable family — distinct from the JDC527A which covers the 6-pin configuration. Different Volvo Penta engine generations and models use different connector pin counts, so having both cables on hand is important for a shop that works across the full Volvo Penta diesel product range. The JDC528A connects the Jaltest Link interface to Volvo Penta engines equipped with an 8-pin diagnostic port, enabling full Jaltest diagnostic access. What This Cable Does The JDC528A provides the physical connection from the Jaltest Link to the 8-pin diagnostic connector on Volvo Penta diesel engines. With the cable connected and the appropriate Jaltest license active, technicians can perform the full suite of supported diagnostic functions through the Jaltest software platform. The 6-pin configuration (JDC527A) and the 8-pin configuration (JDC528A) are both in active use across different engine series and production years. A service center that handles a broad range of Volvo Penta-powered boats and vessels needs both cables to ensure they can connect to whatever comes through the door. The JDC528A at 60 is priced higher than the 6-pin variant (05), reflecting its coverage of different — often newer or more feature-rich — engine configurations. Diagnostic Capabilities With the JDC528A connected and the Jaltest Marine license active, technicians can access: Engine ECU fault code reading and clearing Live parameter monitoring — engine rpm, coolant temperature, oil pressure, boost, fuel system data Transmission and drive system diagnostics on equipped installations Calibration and adjustment functions supported by Jaltest for Volvo Penta Aftertreatment and emissions system access on equipped models Technical Details SKU / Part Number: JDC528A Connector type: 8-pin Volvo Penta diesel Cable length: 11 inches Manufacturer: Cojali (Jaltest) Compatible Software: Jaltest Marine Inboard, Boat, Full (active license required) Compatible Link Versions: V8.1 / V9 Price (2025 Pricelist): 60.00 Included in cable kits: 70002008 (Boat), 70002006 (Stationary Engines) Why Buy From OEM Diagnostic Tools?
