Vlachernai Peacocks cross stitch folk embroidery kit

The Vlachernai Peacocks table runner folk embroidery kit is a gloriously regal design featuring confronted peacocks, a symbol of renewal and rebirth frequently seen in Byzantine art, especially the type of decorations used at the imperial palace of Vlachernai in Constantinople. The peacocks rest atop a border of overlapping diamonds which is then ornamented with a graceful outer border of leaves and stars. Worked in a jewel-tone color palette of turquoise, ruby red, golden olive, and turquoise, this stunning table runner will grace any home.
