Viticcio 2019 Chianti Classico Riserva

95pts Wine Spectator, #14 Top 100 Wines of 2025 This particular vintage arrives with significant critical acclaim, including a prestigious 95-point rating and a top-tier ranking in the Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2025. Its deep ruby color and sophisticated structure offer a sense of occasion that elevates a romantic evening, while its warming, robust character provides the ideal companionship for a cold winter night of sports. Whether you are pairing it with a classic Bistecca alla Fiorentina or enjoying it by the fireplace, this Riserva embodies the passionate spirit of Tuscany. Located in the heart of Greve in Chianti, the Viticcio estate has been a family-run project since 1964. The winery is currently managed with a deep commitment to sustainability, having transitioned to entirely organic farming practices in 2013, with some parcels also utilizing biodynamic methods.   Viticcio’s 2019 Chianti Classico Riserva opens with a generous, dark‑toned bouquet of black cherry, ripe plum, and blackberry woven together with violet, cedar, and a subtle graphite edge. On the palate, the wine shows the depth and polish typical of a strong Riserva vintage: concentrated fruit framed by vibrant acidity, fine-grained tannins, and well-integrated oak. Hints of tobacco leaf, dried herbs, cocoa, and warm spice emerge as it evolves in the glass, giving the wine both structure and elegance. The finish is long, savory, and slightly earthy, carrying the classic Sangiovese signature of red fruit brightness layered over darker, more brooding undertones. 750ml
