Viridis Laceleaf Maple Japanese

Like many of its full-size maple cousins, the Viridis Laceleaf is known for its foliage display. Viridis displays elegant cascading branches and lacy leaves that change colors with the seasons—just in a more petite form. A popular choice in ornamental gardens, this dwarf variety is an excellent choice for gardeners looking for a year-round landscape focal point with impressive longevity. Slow-Growing and Long-Lived: Viridis Laceleaf thrives in well-drained, rich, slightly acidic soil. A slow-growing tree, Viridis prefers partial shade, especially in hotter climates, with regular watering to prevent leaf scorching. Careful pruning is only recommended during winter when tree growth is dormant. Stunning Seasonal Foliage: A year-round beauty, the Viridis Laceleaf Maple has finely cut, “lace-like” leaves that change hues with the seasons: From green in the spring to gold, yellow, orange, and sometimes crimson in the fall. These are contrasted by smooth bark that has a light green or reddish tinge, depending on the age of the branches. Perfect for Small Spaces: A smaller variation of the more upright Japanese Maple, Viridis Laceleaf grows in a mound shape with delicate, weeping branches, reaching a maximum height of just 4-6' tall with a slightly larger spread. It is often used as a specimen tree in small gardens, near water features, or in containers.
