Virgin Wool Hatteras

Handcrafted in Germany, our Hatteras is defined by its impeccable stitching and sense of bold simplicity. Lined with silk and made virgin wool fleece, the Hatteras has a classic, textural look and feel. The 8-piece construction and sewn-down brim are traditional features inspired by the iconic Newsboy Cap, which in turn took its cues from the Scottish Bonnet-style hats and Irish Flat Caps worn by farmers and laborers of the 14th-century. When those same workers eventually immigrated to the U.S.A. they brought their hats with them, which quickly caught on. A favorite of American jazz legends since the early 1900s, the Hatteras is a cap rooted in history. Equally at home out in the field and on city streets, the Hatteras epitomizes Stetson’s commitment to craft and celebrates the intrepid spirit. Handmade in Germany Virgin Wool Silk Liner
