Violet Velvet Underglaze is a light plum color that is soft at cone 05, darkens at cone 5, and becomes a deep lilac color that begins to burn out at cone 10. A clear glaze accentuates the color of the underglaze nicely at any temperature. Safety Warning Tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination.
