Simon Pearce Vintner Bordeaux

Simon Pearce Vintner Bordeaux The Vintner Bordeaux has a broad bowl and ample swirl space and is ideal for tasting robust reds like cabernet sauvignon, merlot and syrah. Designed with the help of a few of our favorite Napa Valley winemakers and sommeliers, this collection appeals to experienced wine tasters and lovers of handblown glass alike. The pulled-stem technique results in a thinner, more lightweight bowl designed to appeal to the palate of those who truly love wine. The generously scaled bowl allows wine to aerate and release its aromas, with a thinness that lends a balanced hand. The re-engineered foot and seamless pulled stem are a pleasure to hold and swirl while tasting – and to admire the appearance of the wine, from its color to its legs. The visible ripple lines from the glassblowing process offers grace and authenticity you won’t find in a factory-made wine glass. Size: 4⅜"W x 4⅜"D x 9⅜"H Care: Hand-wash with warm water and mild detergent. Artisan Information: Since the beginning, Simon’s life has centered around functional, sophisticated design. Growing up in Ireland with a family of artisans, attention to detail and aesthetics were part of his everyday experience. At age 16, Simon began his craft as an apprentice at his father’s pottery studio. From there, he went on to work with notable glassmakers all over Europe before opening his namesake studio. Inspired by centuries-old Georgian glassmaking techniques and using the finest natural materials, Simon set out to create designs that bring pleasure and inspiration with every use, every day. In the age of bigger, better, faster, they believe simplicity, quality, and artisanship are tenets of a better way of life. From hand-thrown pottery to lead-free crystal glassware made with custom molds and purpose-built furnaces, each handcrafted piece carries a story that lends meaning, authenticity, and grace to every use. Everything they do is in service of creating a table to gather with the people we love. These moments of togetherness are what inspire the Simon Pearce team. Watch handmade pieces come to life in their Vermont workshop, experience them in use at their iconic restaurant, and bring the inspiration home.
