c. 1930s; William Wrigley Jr. Co - Chicago Vintage printed felt promotional patch. This piece advertises Wrigley's "P. K." gum, a product that is still around today despite not being as prevalent as DoubleMint or WinterFresh. It features the former Wrigley's mascot, the Peppermint Kid; an impish character dressed in a pointed, one-piece jumpsuit. The jury is out on what the "P. K." stands for, from tributes to former employees to urban legends. However, it is the opinion of this copywriter that it simply stands for "Peppermint Kid". Regardless, this is a rare and unique piece of memorabilia. 7.5" W x 5" H Please refer to photos regarding condition.
