Vintage Moonstone Cabochon and Ruby Ring

A truly exquisite example of a vintage cocktail ring, done in 18k yellow gold. The standout feature of this ring is the absolutely massive moonstone cabochon at the center, which is then surrounded by a ring of 28 blood-red faceted rubies.  The moonstone has an open back to allow the light to play with its adularescence, and its estimated weight is approximately 17.8 carats. The rubies have an estimated weight of 5.5 carats, meaning this ring is absolutely dripping in gems.  The face of the ring is 32.9 x 24 mm, it weighs 18 grams, and is a sizable 9.75.
