Small in scale but rich with history, these vintage elm stools were once humble pieces of everyday life in rural China. Handcrafted from elm wood, each has been beautifully shaped by time, revealing a warm patina, natural grain, softened edges, and markings gathered through years of use. No two are quite alike. Variations in tone, shape, texture, cracks, markings, and signs of old repairs are part of their story and what makes each piece so special. Style them as small collected objects, perfect for elevating a stack of books, displaying a favorite vessel, holding kitchen essentials, or simply bringing a little warmth and history to a shelf or corner of the home.
