This vintage draped multistrand beaded statement necklace reminds me of the necklaces that walked the runway in the Christian Dior Fall 1997 collection, John Galliano's first ever ready-to-wear collection for Christian Dior, and a highly influential fashion moment of the end of the 20th century. A version of this necklace walked the runway with the majority of looks (see below). Layered with handfuls of strands at graduating lengths, this necklace features gorgeous iridescent sapphire-blue seed beads, with larger semi-transparent faceted beads interspersed. Note that the piece is unsigned. Great vintage condition.
