We just rediscovered this paper in our warehouse and it has a qualities unavailable in more modern handmade Double Xuan papers at this price point. It shows color exceptionally well and has the solid moisture control that one would expect out of a Double Xuan. Quality handmade Xuan paper usually improves with age but the good quality papers usually sell so fast that one cannot discover how they will improve with age. Serendipity has given us this paper and we absolutely love it especially for floral subjects. This xuan paper is good for Chinese Brush Painting, Sumi-e, and Calligraphy Writing. It is especially good for spontaneous flower, bird, and animal paintings. High quality raw xuan paper.
