Vintage Distressed Black Lacquer Style Wall Mirror

This vintage rectangular wall mirror features a substantial wood frame finished in a distressed black lacquer-style surface that reveals warm copper and bronze undertones beneath. The worn finish gives the piece a rich sense of depth and character, creating a beautifully aged appearance that highlights the natural warmth of the underlying tones. Likely dating to the late 20th century, the mirror reflects the Asian-inspired decorative style that became popular in the 1970s and 1980s, when lacquer finishes and simple architectural forms were widely incorporated into both traditional and contemporary interiors. The frame’s bold proportions and softly rounded edges give the piece presence while maintaining a clean, understated silhouette. Its horizontal proportions make it particularly well suited for placement above a console table, dresser, or mantel, where it can anchor a wall while reflecting light and adding visual depth to a space. The distressed finish adds texture and warmth while remaining versatile enough to complement a variety of interiors. Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear to the frame, including areas of intentional distressing and finish variation that reveal warm copper-toned undertones throughout. These characteristics contribute to the mirror’s patina and overall vintage character. The mirror glass is clean and clear and presents well. Dimensions: 48"W x 1 1/4"D x 33"H
