Vintage Bronze Tortoise Sculpture

A vintage cast bronze tortoise sculpture with a beautifully simplified form and warm aged patina. The smooth, domed shell contrasts with the finely modeled head and feet, giving the piece a clean sculptural quality while retaining the charm of its animal form. Substantial in weight, the tortoise has the presence and tactile quality of a small bronze sculpture. The naturally developed brown and golden patina gives each example subtle tonal variation and individual character.
