Vintage Bell Pull

This is a exquisite vintage bell pull, a decorative textile used historically as a handle for a servant call bell. The edges are trimmed with red velvet and a blue rope-like design.  The top and bottom are finished with decorative brass or metal hardware, including a ring at the bottom, which would have connected to the bell mechanism.   Items like this were typically handmade and are often associated with Danish or Scandinavian handcraft traditions from the late 19th or mid-20th century 6"
