Vintage African Mossi "Voltaic Shield" Indigo Throw

Hand-woven by master weavers of the Mossi and Dioula traditions in Burkina Faso, West Africa, these vintage textiles are celebrated by interior designers for their exceptional geometric precision and architectural weight. Slowly hand-composed from narrow bands of hand-spun organic cotton on traditional narrow looms, each panel displays a crisp, clean handle and an impeccably aligned layout of contrasting pinstripes and natural indigo vats. Moving away from heavy symbols, these cloths rely on pure spatial rhythm—juxtaposing dense midnight-blue columns with stark ivory lines and soft, tie-dyed water columns. As a genuine vintage artifact, this textile carries a heavy, beautiful lived-in history and is not a new object; it proudly features the honest signatures of its previous life—including soft fringe fraying, historic mineral patinas, and subtle variations in the hand-dyed indigos—which are highly prized by collectors as the true map of authenticity. In today's high-end interiors, these soulful cloths are the ultimate tool to inject clean, graphic structure and raw organic luxury into modern minimalist and Japandi spaces. As a vintage piece, this throw has been loved and cherished for decades, and its unique journey is reflected in blemishes or slight imperfections, adding to its authentic charm and story.  • *Era: Vintage  • *Dimensions: 43"(L) x 62"(W)  • *Material: 100% Weighted, Hand-Spun Cotton.  • *Color: Indigo/off white  • *Technique: Narrow strip-loom construction with natural indigo and vertical resist-patterning.  • *Origin: Burkina Faso, West Africa (Mossi / Dioula Tradition).  • *Condition: Authentic Vintage / Beautiful Minimalist Patina.
