Vineyard Bottle Trellis

The Vineyard Bottle Trellis borrows from the Southern bottle-tree tradition and gives it a flat, architectural frame: six elongated, leaf-shaped openings run down the iron panel, each one sized to hold a glass bottle upside down so sunlight passes straight through the glass rather than around it. Small circular cutouts scattered between the leaf shapes keep the pattern from reading too literally botanical, closer to abstract than realistic. Bottles aren't included, which is really the point - a rotating cast of wine, beer, or specialty glass in whatever colors are on hand at the moment, secured in place with rods and stoppers so wind doesn't rattle them loose. Finished in black powder coat over wrought iron, it holds up outdoors year-round whether it's dressed with a full set of bottles or left bare and covered in a climbing vine instead.
