One of our editors came across these delightful socks when visiting the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. We’ve found them to be a cheerful addition to our shop (and our feet). Choose between: Almond Blossoms, Starry Night, and Sunflowers Almond Blossoms Almond Blossoms is part of a group of paintings created in 1888 and 1890 in Arles and Saint-Rémy in southern France. Flowering trees were something special for van Gogh. They represented new beginnings and hope. He enjoyed their aesthetics and found joy in painting flowering trees. © Van Gogh Museum, © VGME BV Starry Night Starry Night was inspired by the view from Van Gogh’s window at the Saint-Paul-de-Mausole asylum in Saint-Rémy, in southern France. © Fine Art Images - ARTOTHEK Sunflowers Van Gogh’s paintings of sunflowers are among his most famous works. He painted them in 1888 and 1889 in Arles, in the south of France. Vincent painted a total of five large canvases of sunflowers in a vase, using three shades of yellow "and nothing else". In this way he demonstrated that it is possible to create a painting with numerous variations of a single color without losing eloquence. © Van Gogh Museum, © VGME BV Material composition: 78% cotton, 20% polyamide, 2% elastane Country of origin: Türkiye S/M: EU 36-40 | UK 3½-6½ | US 6-9.
