Vintage Scandinavian Desso Rug 9'3" x 5'10"

Size: 9.3 x 5.10 ft. Origin: Scandinavia Circa: 1970s Material: Pure Wool This vintage Scandinavian Desso rug is a bold and iconic example of 1970s mid-century modern design. Handwoven in wool with a plush high-pile Rya texture, it features a striking geometric composition centred around an octagonal form in sky blue, layered over vivid horizontal bands of navy, burnt orange, chocolate brown, and sand beige. The deep espresso brown background creates a dramatic contrast, highlighting the retro-modern aesthetic. Rich in texture and visual impact, this piece reflects the artistic spirit of its era. It is perfect for adding warmth, colour, and a touch of Scandinavian modernism to any contemporary or vintage-inspired space. Authentic vintage and antique Scandinavian rugs are hand-knotted with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind. Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible. Due to these rugs' handmade and preloved nature, slight imperfections and flaws are not defects. Our rugs are professionally restored, and the fringes secured, ensuring many more years of life. In addition, we advise using a rug pad with a grip back to keep your rug in position and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping. Using a rug pad will also safeguard your carpet from deterioration and, therefore, extend the life of your rug. Our rugs are professionally cleaned.
