Vintage Turkish Cicim Yastik Kilim 4'9" x 1'2"

Size: 4.9 x 1.2 ft. Origin: Turkey Circa: 1960s Material: Pure Wool This is a beautifully preserved vintage Turkish Cecim Yastık kilim, woven from wool in the traditional Anatolian style. The piece is narrow and long, indicative of its use as a cushion or bolster cover (yastık). It features a striking diamond lattice pattern, where each diamond is filled with intricate tribal motifs rendered in deep reds, indigo blues, mustard yellows, and earthy browns, all set against a warm ivory background. The sides are bordered with narrow bands featuring complementary geometric designs, which add structural balance to the composition. Hand-knotted tassels at both ends enhance its rustic charm. The tight, flat weave and colour palette suggest it originates from Central or Eastern Anatolia, a region known for its masterful kilim weaving traditions. This kilim reflects both decorative elegance and cultural heritage, making it an ideal collectable textile or unique wall hanging. Authentic vintage and antique Turkish kilims are hand-woven with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and unique. Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible. Due to the handmade and preloved nature of these rugs, slight imperfections and flaws are not considered defects. Our rugs are professionally restored, and the fringes secured, ensuring many more years of life. Additionally, we recommend using a rug pad with a grippy back to keep your rug in place and smooth out any wrinkles that may have occurred during shipping. A rug pad will also safeguard your carpet from deterioration and, therefore, extend the life of your rug. Our kilims are professionally cleaned.
