Vintage Turkish silk Hereke rug 1'3" x 9"

Size: 1.3 ft x 9 in Origin: Hereke Turkey Circa: 1970s Material: Pure Silk  This vintage Turkish silk Hereke prayer rug is glorified for its exceptional craftsmanship and fine detail. The rug features a traditional mihrab (prayer niche) design, elegantly framed by a soft ivory and pastel-toned border adorned with delicate floral motifs. The rich chocolate brown field provides a striking contrast, showcasing an intricately woven floral arrangement rising from a central vase—a classic symbol of abundance and spiritual growth. The delicate fringe on both ends adds to its refined and luxurious character, making it a functional prayer rug and a prized collectable and decorative textile. Authentic vintage and antique Turkish rugs are hand-knotted with silk and wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind. Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible. Due to these rugs' handmade and preloved nature, slight imperfections and flaws are not defects. Our rugs are professionally restored, and the fringes secured, ensuring many more years of life. In addition, we advise using a rug pad with a grip back to keep your rug in position and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping. Using a rug pad will also safeguard your carpet from deterioration and, therefore, extend the life of your rug. Our rugs are professionally cleaned.
