Antique Scandinavian rya Rug 2' x 1'5" (Signed VA)

Size: 2 x 1.5 Ft. Origin: Scandinavia Circa: 1920 Material: Pure Wool  The antique carpet was masterfully hand-crafted with the finest wool following traditional and refined weaving techniques, reaching the Middle Ages. Its style, Rya, was developed centuries ago in Scandinavia to protect the people, especially the mariners living off the sea, from severe weather conditions. Despite its historical heritage, the antique bears an exceptionally modern design settled in the aesthetic standards of the 50s. Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible. Due to these rugs' handmade and preloved nature, slight imperfections and flaws are not defects. Our rugs are professionally restored, and the fringes secured, ensuring many more years of life. In addition, we advise using a rug pad with a grip back to keep your rug in position and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping. Using a rug pad will also safeguard your carpet from deterioration and, therefore, extend the life of your rug. Our rugs are professionally cleaned.
