Vintage Turkmen Rug 11'9" x 9'5"

Size: 11.9 x 9.5 Ft Origin: Turkmenistan Circa: 1970s Material: Pure Wool This gorgeous vintage Turkmen rug features a warm, muted palette of earthy browns, camel tones, and soft beige, giving it a naturally aged and refined appearance. The field is decorated with a repeating lattice of geometric gul motifs arranged in vertical columns, each interconnected with fine lines that create a sense of rhythm and symmetry. These traditional tribal elements reflect the heritage of Turkmen weaving, known for its structured patterns and symbolic designs. The border is composed of multiple guard bands framing a wider main border, filled with small repeating geometric motifs that complement the field without overwhelming it. The carpet shows gentle, even wear that enhances its vintage character, giving it a soft, lived-in look. Its understated tones and timeless design make it highly versatile, suitable for both modern and rustic interiors while preserving a strong sense of history and craftsmanship. Authentic vintage and antique Turkmen rugs are hand-knotted with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind. Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible. Due to the handmade and preloved nature of these rugs, slight imperfections and flaws are not considered defects. Our rugs are professionally restored, and the fringes secured, ensuring many more years of life. Additionally, we recommend using a rug pad with a grippy back to keep your rug in place and smooth out any wrinkles that may have occurred during shipping. A rug pad will also safeguard your carpet from deterioration and, therefore, extend the life of your rug. Our rugs are professionally cleaned.
