Vintage Turkmen Tekke Rug 7'10" x 4'

Size: 7.10 x 4 ft. Origin: Turkmenistan Circa: 1980s Material: Pure Wool This gorgeous vintage Turkmen Tekke rug, handwoven in wool and defined by an allover field of repeating Tekke guls in an orderly, symmetrical grid. The softly aged palette of warm sand, muted terracotta, and gentle earthy tones gives the rug a refined, timeworn character. At the same time, the finely articulated borders, adorned with angular tribal motifs, frame the design with balance and restraint. Subtle abrash, a low pile, and delicate drawing reflect authentic tribal craftsmanship, making this piece a quiet yet sophisticated example of classic Tekke weaving. Authentic vintage and antique Turkoman rugs are hand-knotted with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind. Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible. Due to these rugs' handmade and preloved nature, slight imperfections and flaws are not defects. Our rugs are professionally restored, and the fringes secured, ensuring many more years of life. In addition, we advise using a rug pad with a grip back to keep your rug in position and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping. Using a rug pad will also safeguard your carpet from deterioration and, therefore, extend the life of your rug. Our rugs are professionally cleaned.
