Vintage Turkmen Tekke Rug 7'8" x 5'2"

Size: 7.8 x 5.2 Ft Origin: Turkmenistan Circa: 1960s Material: Pure Wool This vintage Turkmen rug features a classic arrangement of repeating octagonal gul motifs in orderly rows, rendered in warm, earthy tones of rust, terracotta, and soft brown that have naturally softened with age. Intricate geometric details fill both the guls and the spaces between them, while a patterned multi-band border frames the rug with traditional tribal precision. Subtle wear lowers the pile and gently fades the colours, giving the piece an authentic, timeworn character. Overall, it reflects the refined yet rustic aesthetic of traditional Turkmen weaving and makes a distinctive, atmospheric addition to any space. Authentic vintage and antique Turkmen rugs are hand-knotted with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind. Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible. Due to the handmade and preloved nature of these rugs, slight imperfections and flaws are not considered defects. Our rugs are professionally restored, and the fringes secured, ensuring many more years of life. Additionally, we recommend using a rug pad with a grippy back to keep your rug in place and smooth out any wrinkles that may have occurred during shipping. A rug pad will also safeguard your carpet from deterioration and, therefore, extend the life of your rug. Our rugs are professionally cleaned.
