Vintage Turkmen Rug 6'5" x 4'4"

Size: 6.5 x 4.4 Ft Origin: Turkmenistan Circa: 1970s Material: Pure Wool This vintage Turkmen wool rug features bold geometric motifs known as guls, arranged in a symmetrical grid pattern typical of Turkmen tribal design. Handwoven from natural wool, it displays earthy tones of beige, brown, peach, and gold, giving it a warm, timeworn character. The rug’s intricate border complements the central field, showcasing the artistry and symbolism of traditional Turkmen weaving, likely from the early to mid-20th century. Authentic vintage and antique Turkmen rugs are hand-knotted with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind. Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible. Due to the handmade and preloved nature of these rugs, slight imperfections and flaws are not considered defects. Our rugs are professionally restored, and the fringes secured, ensuring many more years of life. Additionally, we recommend using a rug pad with a grippy back to keep your rug in place and smooth out any wrinkles that may have occurred during shipping. A rug pad will also safeguard your carpet from deterioration and, therefore, extend the life of your rug. Our rugs are professionally cleaned.
