A fabulous ruby and diamond ring from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in platinum, this gorgeous piece features an approximately 12ct ruby cabochon, which is held within a six-prong setting. The ruby displays a wonderful purplish-red hue, and features subtle marbling. The gallery of the ring features a lovely swirling heart-motif cutout design, and each shoulder of the ring features 3 bead-set single cut diamonds, which add a wonderful sparkle to the piece. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple. A colorful and unique ring, this piece would make a lovely addition to any Victorian-era jewelry collection! Measurements: The ring is a size 5.75, but could be easily resized. When worn, the ring rests about 3/8" above the finger. The band has a width of 1.3mm. Condition: The ring is in overall excellent condition. There is no apparent damage to the platinum setting, and all of the stones are secure and intact.
