Victorian Oak Smoking Stand

Victorian oak desktop smoking stand combining several tobacco-related accessories into a compact and decorative tabletop form. The stand features a pierced spherical holder designed for cigarettes or cheroots, a brass-lined tobacco or ash receptacle, a circular framed holder with decorative brass cresting, a turned covered compartment, and a brass-mounted cutter integrated into the framework. Executed in quarter-sawn oak with turned supports and brass fittings throughout, the piece reflects the late nineteenth-century preference for specialized smoking accessories intended for use on a desk, library table, or gentlemen's smoking stand. Shows moderate wear consistent with age and use including finish wear, scattered scratches, minor oxidation to brass components, and light surface discoloration. The framed circular holder retains only remnants of its original insert material. The pierced cigarette holder, cutter, covered compartment, and other components remain present. Overall presents well with an attractive aged patina. 9" W x 6" D x 7.5" H MM - 21168 - 060226 For information regarding shipping, please visit our Terms & Conditions page here.
