An incredible ruby and diamond ring from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 18k vibrant yellow gold, the front of this ring features 5, prong-set stones. The central stone, a .40ct, cushion cut Burmese ruby, displays a striking pinkish-red hue. The ruby is complemented on both the left and right by 2 old mine cut diamonds. Together, the diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of 1.30ctw, and display H/I color and VS1-SI1 clarity. The gallery of the ring features a lovely cutout-design, which allows light to wonderfully illuminate the stones. The shoulders of the ring feature a foliage-motif cutout design, and the remainder of the band is smooth and simple. A once-in-a-lifetime piece, this ring would make an exceptional addition to any antique jewelry collection! Measurements: The ring is currently a size 6, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 2.22mm. Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the stones are intact and securely set.
