A bold pair of Etruscan-style gold earrings from the Early Victorian (ca1840s) era! Crafted in 15k vibrant yellow gold, each earring begins with a ribbed, shell-shaped surmount. The earrings then feature a large, oblong component, which features a unique surface texture comprised of small three-dimensional balls. The oblong links are also decorated with raised scrolling wirework, floral-motifs, and three-dimensional gold balls. The base of each earring resembles a curling flower, and is decorated with intricate engravings. The earrings are completed by simple earring wires. A phenomenal example of Victorian-era craftsmanship, these earrings would make an exquisite addition to a Victorian-era jewelry collection! Measurements: Each earring has a total length of 3 2/8" (including the earring wires) and measures 5/8" at their widest point. Condition: The earrings are in excellent antique condition. There is no noticeable damage to the gold setting, or three-dimensional wirework details. The earring wires are secure and in working order.
