Why yellow gold suits it The warm gold complements the emerald's green for a classic, vintage pairing. White or rose gold and platinum are available on request. Higher karat means more pure gold and a warmer tone; lower karat is harder and more budget-friendly. Not sure which is right? Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K gold comparison guide walks through durability, color, and price so you can choose with confidence. The emerald The center is a genuine lab-grown emerald — real emerald (beryl) with the same chemistry, hardness (7.5–8 Mohs), and vivid green as a mined stone, grown in a lab and clearly disclosed. Lab-grown emeralds often show fewer inclusions than mined ones, for cleaner, brighter green. Emerald symbolizes love, renewal, and prosperity, and it's May's birthstone. Our emerald buying guide and May birthstone guide cover lab-grown versus mined.
