VGM Essentials: Blood Code (Compact Disc - Deluxe Edition)

The latest entry in our VGM Essentials series comes from electronic music producer and DJ BLOOD CODE. In this album, BLOOD CODE focuses his remixes on iconic underwater level themes such as “Aquatic Ambience” from Donkey Kong Country, “Hydrocity Zone” from Sonic Mania, “Water Temple” from The Legend of Zelda, and more. Featuring heavy-hitting collaborations from EDM juggernauts ZAXX, Haus of Panda, RoboRob, and Button Masher, VGM Essentials: BLOOD CODE is a must-listen for video game and EDM fans alike. "Creating this album has been an exhilarating dive into the depths of our gaming memories, especially those heart-racing, pulse-pounding moments spent navigating the treacherous waters of video game lore. Each track in this collection is a tribute to the anxiety-inducing, yet utterly captivating water levels that have both haunted and fascinated players for generations. Bringing this album to life was far from solitary. I was fortunate to collaborate with an incredibly talented group of artists and musicians, each bringing their own unique perspective and expertise to the table. I am endlessly grateful for their dedication, creativity, and their contributions were instrumental in shaping the final sound of the album, infusing it with a richness and depth that far exceeded my initial vision. I also want to extend my deepest thanks to Firaga Records for believing in this concept from the very start. Their support and enthusiasm for the project have been unwavering, providing me with the resources and freedom needed to explore my creative boundaries and bring this vision to life. This album is a celebration of the challenges and triumphs that come with facing our fears, both in the virtual world and beyond. It's a reminder of the intense emotions that video games can evoke, and a tribute to the composers and developers who craft these memorable experiences. I am incredibly proud of what we have created together, and I hope that listeners will find both nostalgia and new inspiration within these tracks." - Blood Code Release Notes CD release for VGM Essentials: Blood Code Album art by Ginkgo San, layout and design by Debisco Design Featuring heavy-hitting collaborations from EDM juggernauts ZAXX, Haus of Panda, RoboRob, and Button Masher Product images are mockups and are subject to change without notice.
