Salvation Available to Every Dying Thief

There are only two types of people: those who recognize their need for Christ’s saving power and those who don't. The thief on the cross embodies this. Recognizing that he deserved to die and that Christ did not, he said, “Lord, remember me.” For this simple faith, Christ promised that he would be with Him in heaven that very day, making the thief on the cross His last earthly companion and His first heavenly companion.
