The Price of God's Best

"Anytime you see someone a channel of God's full power, you can know there was a price and a journey that preceded that experience." ~ Dr. Gene Scott. Elisha had tenacity to hold on until he got what he felt was his to receive from his Master. God, typified by Elijah, made it hard for Elisha to get what he wanted. There is a price for wanting God's best, and God will test those who are seeking it. Dr. Scott describes the Jordan River as that jumping off place that puts us beyond ourselves on to the Lord asking the question, "Can we trust Him past the point of no return?"  2 Kings 2:9-10, 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24.
