Veronica 'Da Vinci Delight'

Veronica 'Da Vinci Delight' brings a refined, almost artistic presence to the summer garden that few perennials can match. This outstanding selection produces tall, slender spikes of soft lavender-pink to lilac flowers arranged in a distinctive candelabra-like formation that rises with striking verticality above whorls of dark green foliage, creating a sculptural effect that feels simultaneously wild and sophisticated. It is the kind of plant that makes garden visitors stop, look twice, and immediately ask what it is.   Blooming from midsummer through late summer, 'Da Vinci Delight' earns its place in the garden not just for its exceptional floral display but for the effortless way it ties together bold, contrasting neighbors in a mixed border. Its airy, vertical spikes weave gracefully between broader-leaved perennials and ornamental grasses, adding height, movement, and a soft wash of cool color that harmonizes with virtually every palette. Tough, adaptable, and virtually maintenance free, it is a plant of exceptional design value that performs as beautifully as it looks.   Highlights: Distinctive candelabra-like spikes of soft lavender-pink to lilac flowers with exceptional architectural presence Tall, elegant vertical habit adds dramatic height and structure to summer borders Blooms midsummer through late summer — a reliable source of color and interest Dark green whorled foliage is handsome and ornamental throughout the entire growing season Seed heads persist into fall and winter providing extended four-season interest An exceptional magnet for bumblebees, butterflies, and native pollinators Highly attractive to hummingbirds Deer and rabbit resistant Outstanding in mixed borders, naturalistic plantings, and pollinator gardens Pairs beautifully with ornamental grasses, echinacea, rudbeckia, and phlox
