Venus Grape

USDA Certified Organic The Venus grape was bred in 1964 as a cross between the European wine grape Vitis vinifera (the 'Alden' variety) and the North American native Vitis labrusca (NY 46000) Because it is an American-European hybrid, it offers a highly distinct flavor profile that pairs the sweet, aromatic quality of Muscat grapes with the classic, bold labrusca character found in Concord grapes  Historically, the Venus grape was highly significant because it proved that seedless table grapes with high-quality flavors and acceptable hardiness could successfully thrive in humid Southern and Eastern U.S. climates   Please refer below for detailed information on the Venus grape vines for sale.    Consideration Venus Grape USDA Zones: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 Uses: Fresh Eating Harvest Period: Midseason Low Chill: Yes Pollination Requirement: Self-Fertile Origin Date: 1960's Years to Bear: 1-2 years Recommended Spacing: 2-5 ft.
