Velodyne Acoustics Deep Blue 15 Subwoofer

Velodyne Acoustics Deep Blue 15 Powered 15" Subwoofer The Velodyne Acoustics Deep Blue 15 is the flagship of the Deep Blue series, built around a massive 15" front-firing driver for truly commanding low-frequency performance. Its Class AB amplifier delivers 1000 W dynamic and 450 W RMS power, allowing the subwoofer to reproduce deep bass with authority while maintaining control and clarity. A sealed MDF cabinet with a 52 mm front baffle, dual ferrite magnet motor and 3" four-layer voice coil ensure the large driver remains accurate even under demanding conditions. Designed for serious home theater enthusiasts and large listening spaces, the Deep Blue 15 reaches down into the lowest frequencies while offering the same flexible tuning and connectivity options as the rest of the series. It adds scale, weight and cinematic impact to any system, while still being tunable enough to integrate smoothly with high-performance main speakers. The Deep Blue 15 is aimed at users with large rooms or dedicated home theaters who want very deep, powerful bass and plenty of headroom for high playback levels. How does the Deep Blue 15 compare to the Deep Blue 12? Compared to the Deep Blue 12, the Deep Blue 15 uses a larger 15″ driver, a more powerful amplifier and a bigger voice coil, providing more output and deeper extension for very demanding setups. Is the Deep Blue 15 suitable for music as well as movies? Yes, despite its size and power, the sealed enclosure and carefully controlled driver design allow the Deep Blue 15 to deliver musical, articulate bass in addition to powerful movie effects. What are the placement considerations for the Deep Blue 15? Due to its output capability, placing the Deep Blue 15 along the front wall or in a front corner is often effective; fine-tuning with the crossover, phase and level controls helps optimize in-room response. Does the Deep Blue 15 include automatic power-on? Yes, the Off / Auto / On selector allows the subwoofer to turn on automatically when it detects an audio signal and return to standby when not in use. What connection options are available on the Deep Blue 15? It offers gold-plated stereo RCA line inputs, a dedicated LFE input, nickel-plated high-level inputs and a gold-plated LFE/RCA output for flexible integration into a variety of systems. How heavy is the Deep Blue 15? The Deep Blue 15 weighs approximately 23 kg, providing the mass needed for stability while still being manageable for two people to move during setup. Can the Deep Blue 15 be used in a multi-subwoofer configuration?
