Velocity Power Set

Effortless power. Real comfort. Serious value. The HEAD Velocity Power is a premium multifilament tennis string built for players who want easy access to power without sacrificing the plush comfort a multifilament is supposed to deliver. Independent playtesters consistently rank it among the highest power scores this side of natural gut, while also praising its exceptional comfort and feel — a genuine standout on shorter strokes and volleys where touch matters most. The construction starts with a highly flexible multifilament core of 1,000 filaments, surrounded by thinner, more flexible outer filaments than HEAD's standard Velocity MLT — the source of this string's noticeably higher power output. A low-friction coating wraps the string, boosting spin potential by letting the strings re-align cleanly after every shot, while also improving durability against the friction that wears down lesser multifilaments. The result is a string that delivers higher ball speed with less swing effort, ideal for tournament and club players who want to add explosiveness to groundstrokes and serves without changing their swing. Because it's built for plush comfort and effortless power rather than raw durability, this is the go-to choice for players managing arm sensitivity or transitioning away from stiff polyester setups — the arm-friendly, above-average shock absorption makes a real difference over long matches and repetitive strain. Available in both 16g (1.30mm) and 17g (1.25mm) gauges, and in Black or Natural colorways to match your setup.
