VelociRaptor®

At a time when mountain bike tires were unquestionably gum walled, the VelociRaptors came out in black and haven't looked back ever since.  They changed the game in 1994 with a steering specific front and a rear that could really dig.  The VelociRaptors continue to be popular because to put it simply... they just work.  Try riding one of the most classic combos of all time. FEATURES: Steering specific front designed to provide maximum cornering traction. Braking specific rear with wide knobs that dig in while braking in loose terrain. Tube-type tire with a wire bead, these tires are very durable. 2.1 USAGE:  Cross-Country / Trail CONDITIONS:  Dirt / Loose / Rocky / Wet / Mud Size Level ETRTO GMS Tubeless Compatibility Casing Weight Compound Min-Max Pressure* Part Number 26 x 2.1" Comp Tube-Type (front) 47-559 47/52 Inner tube required Single-ply 60 tpi 829g DNA 35-60 psi W010-0101 26 x 2.1" Comp Tube-Type (rear) 47-559 47/52 Inner tube required Single-ply 60 tpi 829g DNA 35-60 psi W010-0102 *WTB's tire pressure recommendations have changed over time due to further developments in technology. Riders may always reference the markings on their tires for allowed pressures ranges, but may also consult wtb.com for the most up-to-date tire pressure recommendations from WTB. We calculate pressure recommendations based on an average rider weight of 160-180 lbs and suggest increasing our minimum recommended pressure on WTB.com by 2-3psi for every additional 10 lbs of rider weight. Never exceed the maximum tire pressure marked on a tire.
