The decision typically comes down to how simple you want your setup to be. Essential vs. ViSN (What’s Different) 10 Series Essential Biometric: A straightforward biometric safe focused on fast local access. If you want a simple setup with minimal extras, this is usually the right starting point. 10 Series ViSN Biometric: Offered as the ViSN-labeled version of the 10 Series. If you’re specifically looking for the ViSN model, we recommend confirming the exact included components and compatible accessories with our team before ordering. A compact safe like this works best when it’s mounted to a stable surface or secured with the included cable—especially if you’re using it in a vehicle or a reachable area like a nightstand. Biometric + keypad habits. Most owners set up the biometric for primary access and keep the keypad code as a backup. We also recommend verifying your backup access method (keys/code) before relying on it day to day.
