Vasily Fedorouk ~ Altar Multi-Figure Painting

Altar 17 h x 40 w inches oil on canvas, framed and ready to hang copyright 2000 Vasily Fedorouk            Human nature, as well as a masculine viewpoint were the inspirations of this figurative oil painting. Four women look towards a giant phallus as if in worship, hence the title Altar.       Vasily Fedorouk painted in a style resembling ancient drawing methods, the women full of triangles to contrast with the rounded long, narrow form of the male body part.      The background is painted in a crackling texture, adding to the feeling of an antique story of mankind: the fascination between the genders.      The artwork suggests the motivation and means of creating new generations, family and life being two of Vasily's main inspirations.      The wide horizontal painting is framed and ready to hang. The artwork will ship from the artist's home in the Chicago area. To see more of this Ukrainian-American artist's work, please visit: http://vasilyfedorouk.com/   Contact Studio to Buy this painting
