Choose a location that receives partial shade to full sun, with well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and place the plant at the same depth it was in its container. Water well to help it settle into its new home. 2. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water deeply during dry spells, ensuring the top few inches of soil dry out between waterings. Reduce frequency in winter months. 3. Pruning: To maintain shape and promote healthy growth, prune back any dead or yellowing leaves as needed. This helps improve air circulation and encourages new growth. 4. Fertilizing: Fertilize in spring with an organic fertilizer like Espoma Plant Tone. 5. Container Growth: Use an all-purpose potting mix and be sure the container has drainage holes. Water when the top 2" of soil is dry. Bring containers inside once temperatures are in the mid-50s and place by a sunny window. Reduce water during the winter and avoid fertilizing.
