Vanilla Bugger - Cone Head

CH Vanilla Bugger The CH Vanilla Bugger has earned its reputation as one of our most productive streamer patterns thanks to its natural appearance, subtle contrast, and irresistible movement in the water. Designed to imitate a variety of forage species, this versatile fly consistently produces trout, bass, steelhead, panfish, and other predatory fish in rivers, streams, lakes, and ponds. Built around a weighted cone head, the Vanilla Bugger sinks quickly and creates a natural jigging action during the retrieve. The marabou tail delivers lifelike movement with even the slightest current or strip, while flash accents provide just enough attraction without overpowering the fly's natural profile. Its light cream and natural coloration effectively imitates baitfish, leeches, crayfish, large nymphs, and other subsurface food sources, making it a dependable choice in both clear and stained water conditions. Whether dead drifted, stripped, swung, or trolled, the CH Vanilla Bugger remains a proven guide-favorite pattern that belongs in every fly box.
